Had a brilliant long Easter Weekend, treated myself to a full 4 days off. Had a great time seeing friends, playing board games, making roast dinners, watching films, and generally having a lovely time.  Unfortunately for Week In Pictures i managed to go to two drum & bass nights over the weekend and yet I only took pictures of  toys and gardening – at 26 am I the worlds youngest old fart?  Anyway, on with the pictures…

Before…..

We spent the day getting the garden ready for summer, which mostly meant getting some turf down on our sad excuse for a lawn. We (jonjo, ha!) dug all the old stuff up and we laid the new turf at the weekend. Before we moved in the garden had been neglected for years, so we spent the whole of last summer balancing the garden furniture on the crazy lumpy grass. I’m looking forward to planting the seeds i bought in the freshly turned flowerbeds, yippee!

Day 149 of my Flickr 365days project

Now this may look like a boring picture of a plant but this was one of the most exciting things to happen this week – my mystery bulbs i dug up last year have started to turn into flowers. Incredible, i know. Right grandma Holly’s off to find her slippers and have a nice sit down.
