Had another busy week this week, lots of work to get done and lots of new projects on the horizon! I’m in a real creative swing right now which is great for getting things done but not so good for my social life! Im dragging my worky hermit bum out of the house tonight to go raving at Matter. I’m so excited i could wee.

I invested in a button making machine and i’ve been messing around with that. I want to start making little button packs to go in my etsy shop, and as promotional items! A badge giveaway will be happening on my twitter next week!

Had another go at the Millies cookies recipe i made last week, but this time i did the chocolate version. I was expecting these to blow everyone away but they didn’t seem to go down as well as the regular kind i made before. Maybe the cocoa makes them slightly dry? well worth a go though, saying they’re not as good as the yummiest biscuits i’ve ever eaten makes them in no way a failure! Recipe from Laurens Recipe Book

I wanted to include at least one picture of an actual human in this post, so here’s a blurry pic of me on the train on the way back from a meeting in London, the glamour! Also went for a day out in London on Saturday, i blogged some pictures from it here. Sushi and shopping with my hunky slice o’ man cake <3 <3

Plush treeson’s day out

Treeson is one of my favourite vinyl toys ever so i was very enthusiastic about making a plush version! I’ve actually been sitting on this for a little while but thought i should get on and share pictures He came on a day out with us in London at the weekend.

He’s about 5.5″ tall. Perfect for day trips! He can stand up on his own. He was a lot of fun to work on, and as with the vinyl treeson he was fun to photograph – i think its the cute little face?! We went for sushi at Hizakaya in Covent Garden before some shopping and then heading over to Carnaby Street and the Playlounge. We went via china town and were oohing over the hundreds of rainbow lanterns hung up for for Chinese new year. Treeson was a good traveling companion and didn’t mind being stuffed in my bag in between me getting a lot of funny looks taking pictures of/with him, ha!

Week in Pictures: Wedding cake toppers

Phew its been a busy week! I’ve been a bit of a crazy computer lady the last couple of weeks while ive been getting the new alittlestranger.com up and working. Computer stuff dosent come that naturally to me so theres been a lot of me banging my head on my desk and making a grumpy face, but it looks like everything’s done now and i can get over myself!

I’ve been sitting on these photos for a while as i didn’t want to spoil the surprise for her husband-to-be Stephen, but i made these Wedding Cake Toppers for my friend Linda. I took these pictures before i sent them allll the way to Australia for the wedding so it’s great to see Lindas wedding photos of them on the cake on the big day! They had such a beautiful, unusual wedding – you need to go and check out the pictures, Lindas dress is to die for!

On Thursday it was the Kidrobot opening party. I came across this picture of us standing in the que here. I only took a couple of crappy blurry pictures of the que and then got so excited by all the toys I didn’t take pictures of anything else! We got a few free toys for our living room and had a good old chin wag with some of my arty pals. lovely!

Spotted this on the Triclops blog, the Glyos head sculpt i did for them a while back, looking forward to seeing what they’re gonna do with the little fellas. Love those colours!

Mondays Monster Business card holder instructable got featured and put on the main page, then on Tuesday it got listed as popular. I’ve got my thinking cap on for next Mondays instructable, what would you like to see?

On Friday night me and Jonjo made pizza from scratch for everyone, it was really fun to do. Ok i just made the sauce and he did all the hard work, but i did also put the salad into a bowl

I got a surprise present in the post from my friend Phil (of Phil Corbett Illustration) they’re going up on the wall as soon as i can find me some frames, eBay here i come…

Jellyfluffs take me to London

Yesterday me and Leanne went for a fun day out in London! We went to the Wellcome Collection which i’d never been to before, it was absolutely fascinating and i recommend it highly! We ate tasty foods and walked around looking at stuff. We took the Jellyfluffs, here are some pictures….

We visited a lovely garden in soho. It was so strange to fnd a peaceful garden right in the middle of london! Everything there was made from reclaimed materials – old house doors as signs, benches from all over the place. It was really lovely to see such great use made of a tiny space.

We had a super tasty lunch at Wok to Walk . We had been to the one in Amsterdam went a bunch of us went on holiday last year, and i found this one by accident when i was in town last week. Yum yum yum!

We stopped off at Candy Cakes in Covent Garden. The cakes were beautiful to look at but we both thought they were very over-the-top sugary and *very* overpriced. This one was £4!

We ended our day with a long stroll round south bank looking at the street artists and performers. Leanne thought this sculpture looked like a bumhole. ha!

Day out in London

Butters came with me, my sister and our friend Nikki to London on Friday. We went to the Natural History Museum, had lunch at Ed’s Diner and looked round the shops. It was super fun and we were lucky to have had the best weather there’s been for ages! Here are some pictures!

Ed’s Diner has the yummiest milkshake! We went for Mocha. mmmm

I didnt get any pics with the food, we ate it up too quick! ha ha!
