2010 Style direction, Psychedelic Ladies who Lunch On Gala Darling’s blog. This is a fashion trend i’m embracing with both arms and a big kiss! 2010 for me will be more glitter, more tie dye and hopefully some longer hair. Take heed kids, pink hair may look cool but it rags the fuck out of it, its not in a bob through choice!

Mario Cross stitch

Since it got featured on Reddit and Stumbledupon I’ve been getting a lot of emails about my Mario Cross stitch so i thought i’d post a proper picture of it – here it is proudly hung on our living room wall. I cant take all the credit for it though, Jonjo did the sky

I got the frame from Ikea (its called Ung Drill) and its pretty big at 59×85 cm, i’d had it for a long time and was saving it for a special project. I counted how many stitches across and down i’d need to fill the frame and then made the cross stitch chart to the right size by taking an image of a mario level and laying the sprites over the top. I an aida with a large weave, i cant remember what size it is but each stitch is around 4mm across, and a mix of DMC and Anchor threads. Jonjo worked it out to be 12000 (ish) stitches, it took us three weeks to complete.

The Mario Cross Stitch

Mario Cross Stitch We have been making this for the living room, it took about 3 weeks all together, Jonjo did the sky and i did the everything else, ha! It was a lot of fun, i’ve never done a big cross stitch like this before, we used a huge needle and doubled over thread, so it’s got quite a 3D effect when you look at it up close. More pictures of the Mario Cross stitch here.

Playing Bingo with my girlfriends. Like the bunch of old ladies that we are every week we head to the Bingo, its really fun!

Bonfire night. A bunch of us headed down for the organised fireworks display, on the way home we picked up fireworks and rum, a brilliant combination!

Dailybooth / flickr 365days. Taking a self portrait every day for a year. Should help me get over my fear of being photographed?!

Going to see Does it Offend you Yeah? at Heaven, mine and my sisters favourite live band EVAR. Everytme we see them we literally dance so hard our legs fall off. Ok not litereally.

Going to see SawVI so much better than SawV, im a massive Saw fan and that was even a bit much for me. SawVI was fantastic, i absolutely loved the steam trap, how do they keep coming up with them?

Bidding on Saw Props. Raybin auction off seemingly every prop from the Saw movie franchise, most of it is over-prices toot that the minorest of characters used like Shelby’s (who?!) shackle from SawVI, but every now and again i spy a gem like this pig mask used in SawVI. Don’t judge me

Also, Repo the Genetic Opera props on eBay.

I had a watch of the New girls of the Playboy Mansion. Not sure about the new girls, I just loved the old girls, Brigitte, Holly and Kendra too much! Holly keeps popping up and the new girls have to be nice to her

Nintendo Garden Decorations

Check out these cute Mario garden decoration me and Jonjo made! We were anxious waiting to go out raving that night so we chilled out by doing crafts (yeah i know we’re cool!) We made them using Hama beads , check out this flickr group where clever people have made all kinds of mental Hama bead beauties, i love nerd craft!! This pictures was taken before we went on holiday, while we were away the marigolds in the background got eaten by slugs and the geraniums got all dried out and nasty. boo!

I Made the Pirana plant and the mushroom, Jonjo did the mystery box.

See all the weird vine weeds? they’re out of control! They grow so fast and wind their way around everything, my garden is like The Ruins!!!
