Happy Valentines day!

Holly xox
This one-off jointed bear is around 12″ tall (not including her ears) Her face is a resin cast of my own original sculpt. Her face has been painted and sealed with layers of matte lacquer with gloss accents on her eyes and lips. She has weighted feet and a weighted bottom and free moving teddy bear joints in her shoulders and hips so she can sit and stand unassisted.

Look what arrived in the post last week! This is Mela , who was a trade with my new friend Paul who runs Stitches and Glue. She is gorgeous, super soft, well made and came so thoughtfully packaged. Everyone should run over there and buy one right now!!
I love her funny little face
See the monster i sent paul here

“This friendly yeti is a one-off art toy. She’s around 12″ tall (not including her ears) Her face is an original sculpt by Holly Stanway (thats me in the last picture, to give you an idea of the size!) which I then handcast in resin, painted and sealed with 3 layers of matte lacquer and 5 layers of gloss on her eyes and lips. She has weighted feet so she can stand unassisted and individually weighted claws that move and dangle nicely when you pick her up. Her footpads are made of super soft orange velvet.” Edit: sorry, she is now sold
Now for sale in my etsy shop: Edit: Sorry she has now sold

I was so touched to find this awesome drawing waiting for me on my desk at work, my friends little girl drew it! Here it is proudly displayed on my fridge!!
I custom made two plushes for her birthday present earlier in the year, her dad got her to draw creatures that would keep the monsters away and i made them into toys, you can see them after the jump

RAR! a scary yeti! I made her to sell but she has settled into chez Holly too well! She is very good at snuggles
Now she splits her time equally between the sofa and my room, getting lots of attention off whoevers round. Everyone who meets her says she reminds them of Sully from Monstes inc or one of the creatures from Where the Wild Things Are. I think i must have been subconciously inspired when i watched Monsters Inc the other day (i think its still my fave Pixar film) ive also started making Little Mikey – Mike Wazowski’s teddy bear with one eye and four legs he uses to make Boo laugh. Gah i love that film!

A couple more pics from before i sent her to New York, i hope she gets there ok!

This is number 9 of 10 – only one more to go!! This little one is wearing a zombie costume, RAR! She has already found a home but the other little girls in monster suits are avaliable in my shop.
I am really excited about the last one of these little girls and i will post her picture soon, i am also excited about what will be coming next but that is a secret for now! ha!
You’ll get to meet them soon!
